Dr. Guosong Wu is the Director of Research in Medicine (RIM) at Dalhousie University and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Centre for Health Informatics, Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary. He is also an Evidence-Informed Fellow at Kellogg College, University of Oxford. Dr. Wu received his Ph.D. in Health Services Research from the Department of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Calgary. With a strong background in health services research and medicine, Dr. Wu focuses on measuring healthcare quality and safety through machine learning–driven analytics of structured (ICD codes) and unstructured (clinical text) electronic medical records and administrative databases. He leads randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and large cohort studies to identify optimal clinical interventions for surgical and cancer patients.
