Dr. Jamie Benham leads the EMBRACE Women’s Health Research Lab. She is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Community Health Sciences at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, and an Endocrinologist at Alberta Health Services – Calgary Zone. In her clinical role, Dr. Benham provides comprehensive care to patients dealing with various endocrine disorders. Her primary focus is on Women’s Endocrine Health, particularly in managing conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and gestational diabetes. Her research centers on exploring reproductive and cardiometabolic health throughout life for people affected by reproductive endocrine disorders, such as PCOS and diabetes. She’s dedicated to uncovering the complex connection between hormones and health, with the goal of improving patient well-being and community health.
