Biography
Jaime Alvaro Paredes Paez is a doctoral candidate at the Werklund School of Education, University of Calgary, where his passion for critical pedagogy drives his exploration of sociopolitical–-educational hope and radical love as frameworks for professional development in teacher learning communities. His work bridges popular and emancipatory education, dialogic pedagogies, EDIA, socioecological governance, and transdisciplinary collaborations. With over a decade of teaching experience in K–12 schools in Colombia and the United States, he brings a deep commitment to transformative and inclusive education.
