Dr Jaideep Kanungo

Biography

Dr. Jaideep Kanungo is a Neonatologist and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Calgary.  He completed medical school at the University of Alberta, paediatric residency training and Neonatal-Perinatal medicine fellowship at the University of Toronto.  He obtained his FRCPC standing in Paediatrics in 2013 and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine in 2014.  Dr. Kanungo previously worked as a neonatologist at Victoria General Hospital in Victoria, BC prior to joining the section of Newborn Critical Care in Calgary in 2023.

In addition to clinical duties, Dr. Kanungo's main interests include quality improvement (QI), neonatal simulation and medical education.  He currently serves as chair of the Neonatal-Perinatal fellowship program's Competence Committee at the University of Calgary and participates on the Neonatal-Perinatal medicine exam board with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
