Biography

Ishara is a PhD student at the Department of Classics and Religion, University of Calgary, Canada. She acquired her undergraduate and masters degree at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. She is interested in reception studies and is currently working on a comparative study of the Representation of the Ancient Greek myth of Jason and Medea and the Sri Lankan legend Vijaya and Kuweni on film and theatre.
