Projects
The initiative aims to engage community members, government representatives and academic members across the country in collaborative efforts to reimagine how Canadians consider, create and inhabit urban spaces, buildings and landscapes. Through this five-year project, partners from across communities, sectors and disciplines: (1) analyze the current limitations of environmental norms and sustainability models to bring us closer to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals; (2) co-design new paths to equity, diversity and inclusion in the built environment; and (3) define new frameworks for conceptualizing quality that emphasize the social value of the built environment and offer roadmaps to reimagined quality.

My Role: Co-Applicant; Project Director: Jean-Pierre Chupin, University of Montreal
The community-based research involved community and service partners across Canada to understand and address anti-Asian racism. It inquired into Asian Canadians' experiences with racism and its impact on their wellbeing, how victims of racism access support and report racist incidents, and effective strategies to prevent and address anti-Asian racism. Research findings informed the development

My Role: Primary Investigator
The IBWI initiative integrated research, practice, and multidisciplinary and multisectoral collaboration. It involved direct support to high-risk and gang-involved youth coordinated by the Centre for Newcomers through the Real Me program, as well as integrated research, public education, and evaluation led by the Faculty of Social Work.
