Biography

Gwen McGhan is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary. The focus of her research is on understanding and improving outcomes for caregivers and the older adults for whom they provide care across various settings and illness trajectories. Using a person-centered approach, McGhan examines the role of resources in maintaining caregiver well-being. She has published her research in several journals and presented at regional, national and international conferences. McGhan supervises students with an interest in the care of older adults and their caregivers.
