Biography
Dr. Shanmugam is originally from India and studied in India for his medical degree, following that he moved around the globe to train in both adult and pediatric cardiac surgery. Dr. Shanmugam has trained as a cardiac surgeon on four different continents! Prior to moving to Calgary in 2015 he was practicing in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Dr. Shanmugam enjoys time with his twin children and wife.
