Biography

Dr. Kurien is a Radiation Oncologist at TBCC, specializing in the treatment of lung cancers, sarcomas and radiotherapy for benign disorders. She completed her medical degree at McGill University and her radiation oncology residency in Ottawa. She is a Clinical Associate Professor (Oncology) at the University of Calgary.
Over the years, Dr. Kurien has contributed primarily as a medical educator for residents, specialty examiner for the Royal College, and as the previous Interim Section Chief and then Deputy Section Chief for TBCC Radiation Oncology. Dr. Kurien is currently the Medical Lead for the Provincial Tumour Teams, Cancer Care Alberta.
