Areas of Research

Pediatric Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs)

Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) offer a new way for everyone to interact with the world. Children living with complex needs have high potential to be life-long users of BCI systems, but current research has all but neglected children. I'm keen to look at how to adapt the various systems and steps comprising BCI systems (i.e. signal acquistion, signal processing, machine learning & classification, device control, feedback & output) to be inclusive for children of all ages and abilities.
