Research
Areas of Research
Understanding the evolutionary history of morphological traits across humans, non-human primates, and our closest living and fossil ancestors through a combination of traditional gross dissection and novel, digital techniques for the visualization and quantification of anatomical structures.
Employing a combination of digital simulation approaches (e.g., Finite Element Analysis, Multibody Dynamics Analysis) to model muscle-bone interactions and refine our understanding of musculoskeletal biomechanics in cranial and postcranial anatomical systems.
Deploying novel kinetic and kinematic techniques to quantify the movements, behaviors, and performance of living animals during specialized tasks (e.g., feeding, climbing, grasping).
