Deirdre Mooney

Biography

Deirdre holds a Master of Education, specializing in Adult Learning and Higher Education, a Bachelor of Education, and a Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Calgary, as well as a Certificate in Career Development. Although Deirdre is originally from Nova Scotia, she has lived in Calgary for most of her life. Committed to a healthy lifestyle, Deirdre enjoys daily doses of yoga, walking, dancing, and eating great vegan food. A long-time member of the Exploratory Advising team in the Student Success Centre, Deirdre is experienced in supporting students with navigating degree and career uncertainty. Passionate about educational planning, career development, and decision-making, Deirdre helps students explore undergraduate degree program options that fit their motivators, personality traits, interests, and academic backgrounds. Deirdre also leads the New Student Registration Assistance program which supports incoming first-year students with their first-time registration.
