Biography

Christine Leppard, PhD is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of History and the Director of Collections and Curatorial at Glenbow at the JR Shaw Institute for Art and Culture. There, she leads the stewardship and curation of Glenbow’s expansive collection of art and artifacts collection. Previously, Dr. Leppard spent ten years with the Calgary Stampede and Calgary Stampede Foundation, last serving as Manager of Exhibitions & Experience for the Sam Centre capital project. Dr. Leppard earned a PhD in Canadian and military history from the University of Calgary, and an MA from Wilfrid Laurier University. She serves as Past Board Chair of Heritage Calgary.
