Biography
Dr. Sheng Lun (Christine) Cao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Software Engineering and the Sustainable Systems Engineering program. Her research is broadly focused on applied machine learning and decision science for long-term energy system planning, policy, and transition. She explores how we can leverage advanced computational methods to model our energy systems and inform policymaking under deep uncertainties from human behaviour, climate change, economic factors, and technological shifts. Her research supports the development of a more equitable, reliable, and resilient energy system and energy policy for all.
