Biography

Dr. Chen completed his medical studies at National Taiwan University. He went on to complete his specialty training in Neurology at the National Taiwan University Hospital. Meanwhile, he studied and completed his PhD of epidemiology and preventive medicine at National Taiwan University. He has been working in neurocritical care unit in Far-Eastern Memorial Hospital. Later he became a staff member at the Department of Neurology, National Taiwan University Hospital.

Dr. Chen dedicated in the fields of acute stroke and neurocritical care. His research interests focus on clinical studies of reperfusion therapy as well as cerebral small vessel disease. Of note, he participates in the establishment of the Taiwan CADASIL cohort with more than 100 participants being actively followed.

Dr. Chen is currently doing his research fellowship with Prof. Eric Smith in University of Calgary, focusing on the analysis of neuroimaging features of cerebral small vessel disease.
