Research
Areas of Research
My research interests are focused on precision medicine in the diagnosis and treatment of fibrostenotic Crohn's disease (CD), and the use of intestinal ultrasound as a non-invasive, accurate modality to monitor and diagnose CD strictures. In other words, I am studying the use of IUS to diagnose fibrostenotic strictures, combined with identifying biomarkers with basic science collaborators using -omic technology to improve how we predict those who are at risk of developing these narrowings. Furthermore, I am interested in how diet and nutrition play a role in strictures whether as a risk factor, or treatment.
