Biography

Dr. Bronwyn Chorlton grew up in Calgary, Alberta. She completed her Bachelor's of Engineering at Carleton University in Ottawa, and went on to obtain her PhD at York University in Toronto. Following her PhD, she worked as a research scientist and then returned to academia to complete an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. Her undergraduate, PhD, and postgraduate research looked at themes of structural and fire engineering, with an emphasis on timber structures in fire. Her Postdoctoral Fellowship focused on building community resilience to wildfires. 

Dr. Chorlton is active in the engineering education community.
