Activities

My research is aligned with the Healthy Brain Aging program, and contributes to improving the diagnosis of neurocognitive disorders. Using neuropsychological methods combined with neuroimaging, neuropathology and genetics, I aim to elucidate the manifestations and etiology of mid- to late-life cognitive changes in adults with psychiatric conditions. Some of my current work involves characterizing early signs of dementia in older adults with bipolar disorder (whose clinical profile may be confounded by cognitive deficits related to their psychiatric condition), and investigating the mechanistic processes underlying the relationship between ADHD and certain dementias.
