Biography

Braiden is a Research and Project Coordinator for the “Incorporating Peers as Recovery Coaches into Emergency Departments to Provide Support and Facilitate Management of Substance Use Disorders While Enabling Transfer to Community Settings in Alberta” project. This work focuses on integrating peer support into emergency care to enhance the management of substance use disorders and ensure seamless transitions to community-based services. Braiden has been with the University of Calgary for three years, working on various clinical trials and research projects. He possesses a proficiency in research ethics, research grant writing and funding management, data acquisition, and participant recruitment.

Braiden also is a Research Administrator for the Behavioural Medicine Lab, where he mentors research staff, assists with grant applications, and provides oversight on the management of existing research projects.
