Asham Dheesi

Biography

Currently pursuing undergraduate studies in Nursing at the University of Calgary, with strong interests in public health research, neurology, psychiatry, and public policy. Academic and research focus centers on complex and under-researched conditions, particularly the intersection of lived experience and systemic barriers in shaping care and health outcomes. 

Dedicated to using research to inform equitable, compassionate, and patient-centered care, and to amplify voices that are often underrepresented in healthcare systems. Committed to continuous learning, open-minded inquiry, and collaborative practice. Experience spans research, clinical environments, peer support, and community engagement—all guided by a strong sense of purpose and a desire to contribute meaningfully to the field.
