Biography

Dr. Arfan Afzal is a Senior Biostatistician at Syneos Health, and Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary. He received his Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Calgary.

Dr. Afzal has extensive experience in research and statistical consultation within the health sciences and services setting and is involved in diverse public health research, including clinical trials. He has a passion for teaching and provides lectures in the quantitative designs and analysis and quantitative research methods courses in the nursing faculty. He enjoys teaching/translating technical concepts to non-statisticians at a simpler and more understandable level.
