Dr. Araba Chintoh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Calgary. 

Her clinical and research interests focus on schizophrenia and include psychopharmacology, metabolic dysfunction, access and provision of mental and physical health care. Her research interests in mental and physical health extends to elite athletes with a  focus on identifying, preventing and mitigating risk factors for poor mental health.

She received an honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, completed her Masters of Science at McGill and PhD in the Institute of Medical Sciences at the University of Toronto. She attended medical school in England at Newcastle University and returned to Toronto to complete her specialty training in Psychiatry. She has also finished a Clinical Fellowship through the Clinician Investigator Program at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Chintoh  is a consultant for international sports federations on aspects of player welfare and is passionate about the wellness and culture of sports organizations from grassroots to elite levels.
