Anton deGroot is an award winning set, lighting, and sound designer based in Calgary, Alberta. His stage designs have been seen all across Canada including at the Stratford Festival, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre in Winnipeg, Persephone Theatre in Saskatoon, and at home at Vertigo Theatre, Alberta Theatre Projects, Ghost River Theatre, and Theatre Calgary. Internationally his work has been seen at the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space, Gotham Storytelling Festival in New York City, and Birmingham Repertory Theatre in England.

Here at the University of Calgary he teaches Drama 225 - Introduction to Scenography, Drama 481 - Advanced Topics in Theatre Practice, and Drama 317 - Introduction to Sound Design.
