Angela Duta

Biography

Dr. Angela Duta is an instructor of Business Technology Management at Haskayne School of Business. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems for Economics (1999) from Academy of Economics, a MSc (2003) and a PhD (2009) in Computer Science from University of Calgary in the area of database privacy. In addition, she holds a Certificate in Project Management from Mount Royal University and a Natural Nutrition Consultant certificate from Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. Angela is a life-long student and lately she has studied accounting and corporate taxation.

Before joining Haskayne School of Business, she has taught multiple computer science courses in the Department of Computer Science at University of Calgary, Mount Royal University and SAIT.

Angela’s research interests lie at the intersection of privacy and security, databases, and natural approaches for health.

As an entrepreneur, Angela has operated a business for nutrition counseling and a business to help individuals and small businesses with income tax preparation.
