Background
Biography
Andrea is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in the Intensive Care Unit at the Peter Lougheed Hospital. She has worked with Alberta Health Services for over 10 years. Her nursing career includes internal medicine, neuroscience/neurosurgery, and ICU. Andrea completed her Master of Nursing and Nurse practitioner degree at the University of Calgary.
Andrea's role in ICU includes assessing, diagnosing and treating people with life-threatening illness. She is involved in every phase of care, including resuscitation as code team leader, consultation, day-to-day treatment in ICU, and follow-up after ICU discharge.
Andrea's areas of research interest include intensive care unit delirium and engaging nurse practitioner practice.
