Activities

My research falls into two areas: veterinary immunopathology research and neuro-education. As a specialist veterinary pathologist, my research in hematopathology predominantly focuses on histopathologic characterization of disease. In my hematopathology research, I have a variety of research projects looking at the immune basis of disease in animals and animal models of disease, including collaborating with the Yates lab in the histopathologic characterization of neuropathological lesions in mouse models of MS. I also research in hematopoiesis in veterinary species. My PhD is in neuroeducation using eye-tracking technology to quantify visual diagnostic reasoning in pathologists. I have expanded this research to include EEG and fMRI to assess clinical reasoning. This is in collaboration with Kent Hecker.
