Research
Areas of Research
- Oncology clinical trials, particularly phase I/II trials
- Predictors of cancer treatment outcomes
- Characterizing and improving toxicities from cancer therapeutics, including targeted agents and immunotherapy
My research centers around i) investigation of novel therapeutics for solid tumours, particular thoracic tumours, as a member of the Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Center early phase and thoracic trial committees. I am also passionate about improving current patient care through ii) investigating predictors of therapy response, including correlating next generation sequencing (NGS) with patient outcomes, and incorporating potential biomarkers into clinical trials. Finally, I iii) investigate toxicities from novel agents, including immunotherapy and targeted therapies, working to improve understanding and management of life-altering side effects via retrospective and prospective efforts.
