Projects

Indigenous community-based student projects

During the spring and summer I look to hire undergraduate students to work on community-based projects and research. The projects are often an extension of assignments and community oriented work started in my Indigenous Studies classes. If you are interested in joining my team please consider taking INDG 415: Indigenous Ethics and Protocol and INDG 507: Research Practicum.


Climate change - Sustainability project

This project is funded by a grant from the Office of Sustainability. There are three funded projects at this time:

1) Working with the Alberta Institute of Wildlife Conservation (AIWC) to help birds that are impacted by climate change (see link under 'publications' called Volunteering in Alberta Bird Care)

2) Supporting Îyâxe-Nakoda led water initiatives with youth.

3) Coloring book featuring regenerative reclamation practices in partnership with The Red Pony Stands.
