Biography

Adam is a PhD candidate in Religious Studies. He researches and writes on the intersections of religion, medicine, and mental health, and has published in the fields of hermeneutics, philosophy of medicine, and religious studies. His doctoral project considers medicine and religion as competing sites of meaning in mental healthcare. Through philosophical analysis, his thesis explores how religious and medical discourses became historically intertwined and how religious traditions can illuminate contemporary models of subjectivity and flourishing in medicine.
